Prices
Prices cover labor. Parts are quoted separately and agreed with you before they're ordered.
Work we do not do
- Data recovery from a failed or wiped drive. We refer this to a specialist lab.
- Game consoles.
- Ultrathin laptops and tablets, including Microsoft Surface. They are glued and layered, and a safe repair is not realistic.
- Liquid damage and computers that have been opened before. We'll look at these, but we can't promise a result.
How it works
Four steps, from booking to getting the computer back.
Book online, choose a service, and pay the $49 diagnostic.
We collect the computer from your door at a time you choose, and send you a photo of its condition.
We diagnose and repair it. Anything that changes the price is agreed with you first.
We return it to your door and you pay the balance.
Back up your files before we collect. Any repair can lose data, an operating system reinstall erases the drive, and neither is covered. The full terms are on this site to read before you book.
When you pay
The $49 diagnostic is paid when you book, and it comes off the repair. The rest depends on the job.
Common questions
What if you cannot fix it?
You pay the $49 diagnostic and nothing more, and we return the computer either way.
Do you charge for a quote?
The diagnostic is $49 and is absorbed in the total when the repair is completed, you would only pay the flat fee.
What if the repair costs more than the computer is worth?
We would tell you before we start anything. Sometimes the honest answer is that a computer is not worth repairing, and we would say so.
When do I pay?
The $49 diagnostic is paid when you book. Software work is paid when upon completion. If a repair needs a part, the part is paid for up front and the labor upon quote agreement. Very old or high value hardware is paid in full before we start, and we tell you at the quote if that applies.
Do I need to back up my files?
Yes. Any repair can lose data, and an operating system reinstall erases everything, therefore you'd need to back up your data very carefully before we collect.
Do you do data recovery?
No. It needs specialist equipment. We can point you to a lab.
Will anyone look at my files?
Not at all. We open only what's needed to test the fault.
Do you need my password?
We may ask for an administrative account access or if you prefer, we can configure a temporary account to diagnose the issue, this would incur additional billable hours. Tell us your preference at booking.
How far do you travel?
We travel within a 20 mile radius of our main office in Butler County, Ohio. We can travel further for a fee.
How long does a repair take?
3-5 Business days, depending on the job and parts availability. We will give you a more accurate estimate when we diagnose the device.
Is the repair guaranteed?
No repair is guaranteed. We do our best, but we cannot promise a result. If we cannot fix it, you only pay the diagnostic. If it is not within our support scope (Consoles, phones etc., we will refer you to a specialist and refund your diagnostic fee.
