Privacy
This site has no accounts, no database, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Most of what follows is about your computer, not the website.
What the booking form collects
Your name, one way to contact you, a ZIP code, the service you chose, what the computer is and what it is doing, and when suits for collection. We ask for a ZIP code instead of a street address, and arrange the exact pickup point in the reply.
The form sends us a single email. Nothing is written to a database. The booking then sits in our mailbox like any other email. VERIFY: how long a completed booking is kept has not been settled yet.
Your files, while the computer is with us
We open only what is needed to test the fault. Nobody reads your photos, documents or messages. Nothing is copied off the computer unless the job requires it, such as transferring your files to a new drive.
If we ask for your password, it is to start the computer. You can change it once the computer is back with you.
Photos of your computer
We photograph the computer at collection to record its condition, and send you a copy. VERIFY: how long we keep our copy has not been settled yet.
Payment
The diagnostic is paid through a payment provider on their own page. Card details are never entered on this site and we never see them. We receive a confirmation that the payment was made.
What this site loads
Two font files from Google Fonts. That request gives Google your IP address, as it would on any site using their fonts. Nothing else on the page contacts an outside server. There are no cookies and no cookie banner.
Your light or dark setting is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.
Asking us to delete something
Write to us and we will delete what we hold, which is an email and possibly a photo.
